What is an inductor
An inductor is characterized by its inductance, which is the ratio of voltage to the rate of change of current.
The inductor consists of a coil of conducting material- insulated copper wrapped around a core of a ferrimagnetic material which is called an "iron core" inductor.

Application of inductors
